MRCS Part A is a single-day, five-hour computer-based exam consisting of two papers:

To sit the MRCS Part A exam, candidates must:
Hold a medical degree acceptable by the UK GMC or Medical Council of Ireland
Provide proof of internship completion if sitting the exam in Egypt
Email documents to: SurgicalEligibility@rcseng.ac.uk within 2 weeks of booking (or within 1 week for Egypt-based candidates)
Note: Names on your government-issued photo ID must exactly match your exam registration.
If you require exam accommodations, such as extra time or a separate room:
